Next to my house and studio lies the former sunday school 'Eben Haezer'.
It's a state-monument and beautiful located along the river 't Gein. It's worth a visit.
On Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning, I teach my art classes in Eben Haezer. One also can visit to see the permanent exhibition of my paintings, watercolors en drawings.
An essential aspect of my art lessons is stimulating my pupils having pleasure in drawing and painting.
I focus a lot of attention to teaching them how to observe their surroundings, we glean most of our inspiration from landscapes, still life, portraits and model.
The lessons are quite individual, everyone has a chance to work within their own capacities.
I try to stimulate my pupils to practice at home, we can then discuss the results together during the lessons.
This sharing with each other can be interesting and inspiring.
I also give instructions in the use of different materials for instance charcoal, pencil, pen and ink, pastel, watercolour and oils.
The lessons take place at:
|thursday||14.00 - 17.00|
|saturday||09.00 - 12.00|
Open for visitors
Eben Haezer is open every Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00, to visit the exhibition and enjoy coffee, tea or a cold refreshment. For the real die-hards, there's delicious homemade apple-pie, all at pleasant prices.
